Bill "Woody" Zimmerman

Chief Operating Officer/GM Warsaw, IN

Born in Fort Wayne, IN, Woody has lived his entire life in Northern Indiana.  As a graduate from Purdue University, he is a radio vet for cultivating and growing small market radio stations through community involvement, fun promotions and a focus on the local communities our stations serve.   While many corporate stations are getting away from the local aspect of radio, it is Woody’s mission to focus on communities in a way that can change the lives of our consumers and clients.

 

Under his leadership, WRSW-AM, WRSW-FM and WAWC have won several IBA and AP awards for community service.

 

Woody started his career at Federated Media’s WMEE in 1994.  From there, he worked as Music & Image Director of WBYR Fort Wayne, APD of WFWI Fort Wayne, Assignment Editor for WPTA-TV Fort Wayne, and GM/GSM/PD of WFGA Auburn.  Woody made the move to Warsaw for the GM chair at WRSW AM & FM and WAWC in 2012.  Kensington Digital Media welcomed the Warsaw market into the family in September of 2018.

Woody serves on several boards which have included; Warsaw Rotary, the Animal Welfare League and distribution committees for the United Way and the Kosciusko County Community Foundation’s scholarship committee.

​

He and his wife of 25 years have two teenage children.  Woody enjoys spending time with his family, and coaching football and baseball.

Woody Zimmerman is Market Manager of Kensington Digital Media's Indiana properties; Classic Hits 107.3 WRSW-FM, Kosciusko’s Fun Country Station Willie 103.5 WAWC and WRSW-AM News Now Warsaw 1480AM & 99.7 FM.
